NLAPW SOCIAL MEDIA UPDATE
Facebook
A new, official Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/NLAPW/ will showcase links to member web sites, news, etc. Please stop in to “Like” us today and share your links!
There is also a NLAPW Members Only group, to which you must request access and be confirmed as a member in good standing before admission. It will serve as a place where current members can not only communicate with other Pen Women but also download files that are for Pen Women’s eyes only. Please visit and request access today: http://www.facebook.com/groups/102731903504535/
Twitter
Twitter is another social broadcasting platform, different than Facebook. If you have a Twitter account, please follow @NLAPW, and we’ll follow you in return so that we can “retweet” your good news!
LinkedIn
LinkedIn is a social media site which focuses on connecting professionals. If you have a LinkedIn account, please visit http://www.linkedin.com/groups/8552713 and request to join. We have a few new discussion posts, which may interest and engage you.
NLAPW Blog
Ongoing: “Poem of the Week” series and “Art of the Week” series will continue in order to showcase Pen Women’s work. Please check the web site for guidelines and send your submissions to poetryeditor@nlapw.org and arteditor@nlapw.org
In addition we’ll soon be adding two new guest blogger series.
• Creative Inspirational Wisdom posts will focus on all aspects of the creative process: brainstorming, drafting, revising and “publishing”/showcasing finished work.
• A Creative Business will share observations and advice about making your passion your livelihood.
Posts should be 150 – 500 words on average, although longer pieces also will be considered. Accepted pieces will appear on our NLAPW blog first and then again later in upcoming anthologies from Pen Woman Press. Please send submissions for these two new series to penwomenpress@nlapw.org with the words “Blog Submission” in the subject field.
My very best,
Virginia Campbell, president NLAPW
